Prefabricated Steel Workshop in Palatka, Florida

Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered steel building for a buyer in Palatka, Florida, in late March of 2018.

Designed to holds its own despite Florida’s wet weather and sometimes strong winds, the building stands 40’x80’x16’ in size and now functions as a shop for its owner. Rugged and reliable, it boasts a striking, Saddle Tan exterior, while a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch sits overhead, helping prevent moisture-related damage.

The prefabricated steel shop features (4) framed openings; (2) 10’x12’ openings enclosing (2) 10’x12’ doors, and (2) 3070 openings, each enclosing one of (2) 3070 walk doors. A 130-mph wind load serves as an additional accommodation made in consideration of the strong storm activity that sometimes comes through the region. A part of northern Florida’s Putnam County, the city of Palatka lies about 24 miles outside Crescent City, Florida, and about 45 miles east of Gainesville.
