Metal Building Outlet secured this prefabricated steel workshop building on behalf of a client in Palmer, Alaska.
Long-lasting, sustainable and inherently low maintenance, the building features premium-quality steel construction and a fully erect size of 50’x60’x18’. Ash Gray in color with a complementing Charcoal Gray roof with a 3:12 pitch, the building now operates as a shop, and it features an open, clear-span design that maximizes space and is free of interior obstructions.
Additional metal shop features include (8) framed openings that enhance versatility and accessibility, among them (2) 12’x14’ openings, (3) 3070 walk door openings and (3) 3040 windows that allow natural sunlight inside. The steel shop building also features a 110-mph wind speed rating and a high, 57-pound snow load to adhere to local building codes and enhance durability given Alaska’s highly variable climate and considerable wintertime snowfall.
Part of the Anchorage Metropolitan Statistical Area, the city of Palmer falls within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, in southern Alaska. The community lies about 42 miles northeast of the city of Anchorage and roughly 13 miles outside Wasilla.
