Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Pascagoula being near the coast in Jackson County Mississippi is well known for the hurricane force winds that wreak havoc to structures in the area.
The owner was well aware that no building can be guaranteed to stand during a hurricane he did have some extras added to help combat the strong winds. He had additional girt material added to the building, as well as, high wind doors. The steel components were made by Nucor. This particular building was purchased in September 2010 and has been in use since.
It is generously sized at 40’x75’x12’ and has a pitched roof of 1:12. As mentioned previously, this building has a high wind roll up door. This door is rated to withstand winds up to 150 miles per hour and is 12’x10’ in size.
