Metal Building in Penrose, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a buyer in Penrose, Colorado, in April, 2016.
Low maintenance and energy efficient, the building is now used as a shop. It stands 40’x60’x14’ in size, and overhead is a rugged and corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. Crafted from long-lasting, premium-grade steel components, the building contains (4) framed openings. Featured are (2) 12’x12’ openings enclosing (2) 12’x12’ Series 2400 insulated overhead sectional doors and (2) 3070 openings housing (2) 3070 walk doors.
To reduce energy costs considerably while enhancing overall interior comfort and noise control, high R-value, R-30 insulation is installed in the roof, while R-19 insulation can be found within the walls. To enhance the shop building’s durability with respect to the climate of Penrose and the surrounding region, a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. serve as additional project features.
An unincorporated part of central Colorado’s Fremont County, Penrose lies about 44 miles outside Westcliffe and about 12 miles from Canon City.
