Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Post Falls, Idaho, during the spring of 2014. It now serves as a personal shop.
Standing 60’x124’x17’, this massive steel structure is made entirely of Nucor Building Systems components, and has a 3:12 roof pitch. The metal building boasts a total of (17) framed openings, among them (2) 14’x14’ overhead doors, (3) 3070 framed doors and an additional (12) 6’x3’ windows in order to maximize natural light.
Given Post Falls’ notable snowfall, which is typically more than 12 inches more a year than most U.S. cities, the building features a ground snow load of 39.2 lbs. It also has a wind speed of 90 mph.
Due to energy code requirements in the Post Falls area, the steel building had specific requirements as far as insulation size and R-value. Metal Building Outlet assisted the customer in helping ensure these requirements were met.
