Pair of Pre-Engineered Steel Farm Buildings in Oakley, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet sent the building kits for these (2) custom steel farm buildings to Oakley, Kansas, in October 2024.

Supplied for a repeat Metal Building Outlet customer, the smaller building sits atop a 10’ concrete stem wall and has 3,000 square feet of open interior space that can house tractors, agricultural equipment, animals, animal feed and more while keeping everything dry and protected from the elements. The first building is partially open-air, allowing for optimal ventilation and pleasant breezes, while the second building has both a fully-enclosed area and a covered, roof-only section that provides additional space for outdoor storage.

The larger structure offers impressive energy efficiency thanks to the addition of an R-32 Energy Saver insulation system in the roof and 4” of R-13 fiberglass insulation in the walls. A White liner panel covers the insulation blankets, serving as a protective barrier against damage while improving the look of the building from the inside.

The buildings also boast door openings in a variety of sizes and types, making it easy to access and move farm equipment and other goods around when needed.  Durable, practical and designed for the precise climate characteristics of the area, these prefabricated steel farm buildings provide long-term protection and functionality while requiring only minimal maintenance in return.
