Cold-Formed Prefabricated Steel Shop in Fort Lupton, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet sent the kit for this custom cold-formed steel shop building to Fort Lupton, Colorado, in June 2024.
Offering great curb appeal thanks to Ocean Blue exterior walls, a sleek Black roof and clean Polar White trim, the building is equal parts functional and fashionable, giving the owner ample space to store goods, perform vehicle or machinery maintenance or work on projects.
Key customizations include four windows that let natural light stream in and a high R-value insulation package, with R-30 fiberglass insulation installed in the roof and R-19 insulation with heavy-duty WMP-VRR+ facing lining the walls. The insulation package boosts the metal shop’s energy efficiency, and it also helps improve interior comfort, prevent condensation and muffle outside noise.
Lighter than traditional steel components, cold-formed steel parts go through a specialized fabrication process that doesn’t rely on heat or hot rollers. Cold-formed steel components are also resistant to corrosion and warping, making them well-suited for a wide variety of climates and environments.
