Metal Building in San Leon, Texas
Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated metal building for a customer in San Leon, Texas in December of 2020.
Durable, low maintenance and energy efficient, the building now functions as a shop, offering superior structural integrity. Painted and constructed using top-of-the-line steel parts, the workshop features a high overhead clearance and an unobstructed clear span design.
Overhead, a heavy-duty, Galvalume Plus gable roof provides reliable protection from the elements, and (5) framed door openings serve as additional features. In its roof and walls, the shop has 3” layers of insulation adorned with heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing. The insulation creates a comfortable, energy-efficient environment, while the facing protects the insulation against moisture. Other notable project features include painted gutters and downspouts, (4) 10’ long low-profile ridge vents that improve ventilation, and a 4’ full-length eave light band.
The shop also features a high, 170-mph wind speed rating in consideration of the building code requirements of the area and the occasional hurricane activity that comes through the region.
