Metal Building in Seward, Alaska
This Nucor brand metal building was purchased from Metal Building Outlet in early 2013. This 45’x100’x16’ Evergreen-colored steel building has a Sagebrush-colored roof, two 12’x14’ doors. It has a wind load of 130 mph exposure C and a roof snow load of 80 lbs. The owner opted for spray foam insulation.
It shipped to Seward, Alaska a city within the Kenai Peninsula Borough that lies about 127 miles from Anchorage and 167 miles from Palmer. From the factory in Utah, it will travel through the Port of Seattle in Washington before being loaded by forklift into a flat rate container and then ultimately making its way north to its final destination, Seward via Alaska Logistics. In addition to handling the purchase of the building, Metal Building Outlet will provide the framework for its field-located framed openings.
Seward is located in one of Alaska’s warmer areas near the coastline. It is considered the ninth most lucrative fisheries port in the United States and also experiences a thriving tourism industry.
