Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered steel shop building for a customer in Crescent City, Florida, in April of 2019.
Energy efficient and built to last, the building is comprised of rugged, reliable steel components and provides a safe, comfortable space to work or store goods. Standing 40’x80’x14’ in size, the building now functions as a shop, and a robust, long-lasting Galvalume Plus metal roof sits overhead, offering a 2:12 pitch.
Within the roof, the building has R-13 insulation, while R-10 insulation sits within its walls. In addition to lowering energy bills, the insulation package helps shop users stay comfortable inside despite Florida’s frequent high temperatures and humidity. The shop is also bright, sunny and easily accessible, thanks to (8) framed openings that include (2) 3070 walk door openings, (1) 12’x14’ opening, (1) 10’x10’ opening and (4) 4030 windows. Because strong storms sometimes come through the area, a 130-mph wind speed rating serves as an additional workshop customization.
Part of northern Florida’s Putnam County, Crescent City is situated between Lake Stella and Lake Crescent. The community sits about 25 miles from Palatka and about 50 miles outside Daytona Beach.
