Steel Automotive Shop in Huffman, Texas

Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated steel auto shop in Huffman, Texas in late January of 2017.

Energy efficient and easy to maintain, the building now serves automotive purposes, and it stands 26’x30’x16’ in size. It is built to last using top-of-the-line steel materials, and it is covered and protected from overhead by a rugged, corrosion-resistant metal roof with a 1:12 pitch. Inside, it boasts (1) 15’x14’ framed opening, and it also features R-10 metal building insulation in both its roof and walls. In addition to helping the metal building maintain consistent and comfortable temperatures throughout the year, the insulation reduces outside noise and considerably lowers energy bills associated with it.

In consideration of the strong storm and occasional hurricane activity that comes through the Huffman area, the building also features a wind speed rating of 140 mph. An unincorporated community set within northeastern Texas’ Harris County, Huffman is considered a part of the Houston, Baytown metropolitan area. The community lies about 25 miles north of downtown Houston.
