Steel Barndominium in Fort Lupton, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel barndominium in Fort Lupton, Colorado, in August of 2022.
Now functioning as a “barndominium,” or a structure that serves as both a residence and another type of usable space, this particular building combines home and shop space and stands an expansive 50’x80’x20’ when raised. High ceilings and a wide clear span maximize usable space within the Cool White building, and a matching, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof with a 3:12 pitch provides reliable protection overhead.
Attractive and accommodating, the metal barndominium has Black architectural trim and 2’ overhangs along both ends that create covered outdoor space. There are also (7) framed door openings distributed throughout, which include (2) 12’x14’ overhead door openings, (1) 10’x8’ overhead door opening, (2) 3’4”x7’2” walk door openings and (2) 6’4”x7’2” walk door openings.
Engineered to either meet or exceed the building code requirements in place at the erection site, the steel building also features a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 21-psf roof snow load.
