Shop Building in Chesaning, Michigan
Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered steel shop building in Chesaning, Michigan in April of 2018.
Offering affordability, durability and energy efficiency, the steel building boasts a broad, clear-span design and now functions as a shop. Crafted from premium-quality steel materials, it stands 150’x175’x14’ in size following a relatively simple erection process, while a rugged roof comprised of Galvalume Plus metal panels sits overhead, offering a 1:12 roof pitch.
Distributed throughout the metal shop are (5) framed openings, which include (4) 3070 openings and (1) 12’x12’ opening. An insulation package that includes R-10 insulation in the shop’s roof and R-13 insulation in its walls serves as another notable attribute, lowering energy bills associated with the shop considerably while helping building users stay comfortable, regardless of time of year.
In consideration of the climate patterns typical of Chesaning and the surrounding region, a 36-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind load serve as supplemental project characteristics. Part of Saginaw County, in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, Chesaning is a small village that falls within Chesaning Township. The community sits about 51 miles north of Lansing, Michigan’s capital city, and about 33 miles northwest of Flint.
