Clear-Span Steel Building in Tucson, Arizona
Sent to Tucson, Arizona, by Metal Building Outlet in June 2023, this prefabricated steel building is both functional and energy efficient.
Engineered and designed with its desert environment in mind, this clear-span metal structure has gutters and nine downspouts along each side wall that help channel rainwater, ensuring minimal disruption to the arid landscape. Inside, the building has 6” of R-19 insulation in the roof and 4” of R-13 insulation with VRR vinyl facing and 6-inch taped tabs in the walls. The insulation package ensures interior comfort despite the desert heat, and it also offers other benefits, like enhanced soundproofing and substantially reduced heating and cooling costs.
Metal Building Outlet also engineered the steel building to meet the wind and snow load requirements of the area and included an Arizona engineer-stamped foundation plan with this steel building kit to enhance structural integrity and adhere to local building codes.
