Steel Building in Kingston, Jamaica

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building in Kingston, Jamaica in December of 2014. Now used as a commercial shop by Branlue Import, LTD, the building is constructed from Nucor Building components, and features a variety of key features intended to maximize durability regardless of weather conditions or storm activity.

The 90’x100’x22.5’ building has an extremely high wind speed of 160 mph in response to the common threat of hurricane activity in the area, and also features a concrete block wall, which is common in locations prone to severe storms and hurricanes. Covered by a Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch, the Jamaica metal building has (24) framed openings, each with its own 3’x5’ skylight window panel.

The capital and biggest city in Jamaica, Kingston sits along Jamaica’s southeastern coast, roughly 76 miles from Moneague and 13 miles outside Portmore. Metal Building Outlet helped coordinate shipping to the Port of Savannah in adherence with the customer’s freight-forwarding requirements.
