Metal Building Outlet was the proud provider of this prefabricated metal building in Shingle Springs, California, in early March of 2020.
Rugged, easy to erect and insulated to enhance energy efficiency, this building stands 40’x60’x14’ in size upon erection and currently serves as a shop. It has a wide, clear-span design characterized by a lack of interior columns or supports, and it also has high overhead clearance, enhancing versatility.
Charcoal Grey in color, the steel workshop has protection from above in the form of a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume Plus roof with a 2:12 pitch. Found throughout the property are (7) window openings and (5) door openings, among them (3) 24”x6’ windows, (4) 4030 windows, (2) 12’x12’ door openings enclosing (2) 12’x12’ doors, (2) 3070 walk door openings enclosing (2) 3070 walk doors, and finally, (1) 10’x10’ door opening housing (1) 10’x10’ door.
In its roof and walls, the shop contains layers of R-10 insulation, which help prevent heated or cooled air from escaping and condensation from forming. A 20-psf snow load and a 95-mph wind speed rating serve as additional climate-related specifications.
Part of the Sacramento – Arden-Arcade – Roseville metropolitan area, Shingle Springs falls within the borders of Northern California’s El Dorado County. It sits about 15 miles from both Coloma and Placerville.
