Steel Gymnasium Building in Brighton, Colorado

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel gymnasium building in Brighton, Colorado in February of 2021.

Now in use as a gym on the grounds of a church, the insulated, highly energy-efficient metal building is comprised of long-lasting, sustainable steel parts and offers unmatched strength and durability. Following a relatively simple erection process, the steel gym stands 80’x80’x16’ in size and has a wide clear span and high overhead clearance that make it well-suited for athletic use.

The durable, corrosion-resistant steel roof of the building has a gable design and a 4:12 pitch, and within that roof is 9.5” layer of R-30 insulation, which helps keep energy bills low and interior temperatures comfortable and consistent. The walls of the metal gym also contain insulation, holding 8” of R-25 insulation. There are also (10) door and window openings throughout that allow building users and natural sunlight inside.

In consideration of the climate characteristics of Brighton and the building codes in place at the build site, the metal gym also features a 120-mph wind speed rating and a 30-psf roof snow load.
