Prefabricated Steel Personal Shop Building in Mancos, Colorado
A family in Mancos, Colorado, purchased this personal metal shop building through Metal Building Outlet in August of 2024.
Custom-designed in line with the buyers’ needs and aesthetic preferences, the insulated, energy-efficient steel shop building provides 4,000 square feet of unobstructed floor space ideal for storage, work areas, vehicles and large equipment. Key features include 16 6’ light-transmitting panels along the walls, which allow natural light inside without letting in outside air.
The building also boasts a roof and wall insulation package, with 6” of R-19 insulation with heavy-duty VRR+ facing and 6” taped tabs regulating interior temperatures and keeping heating and cooling bills low throughout the year. All doors also contain insulation, further enhancing the shop’s energy efficiency while minimizing heat gain or loss at the building’s entry points.
The personal shop’s hardy, corrosion-resistant gable roof has a 4:12 pitch, allowing rain and snow to slide off easily, while its primary and secondary framing maximize strength and durability, optimizing the structure for life in Colorado.
