Pre-Engineered Steel Shop Building in Questa, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet supplied this custom steel shop building for a client in Questa, New Mexico, in 2024.

The buyer needed a secure, temperature-controlled place to use for storage, work or hobbies, and this metal shop building offers 6,000 square feet of column-free interior space he can use as desired throughout the year. Durable and practical, the building has six large windows that open from side to side, allowing for optimal ventilation. The windows also feature White vinyl frames, which are equal parts energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

The steel shop’s roof and walls feature 4” of R-13 insulation with VRR+ facing, with the insulation blankets keeping interior temperatures steady and energy bills low and the facing helping protect the insulation blankets from moisture and damage. The insulation package also guards against condensation and muffles outside noise, helping maintain a quiet and comfortable interior environment year-round.

The building’s large overhead garage doors also contain insulation, further preventing the loss of heated or cooled air while making it easy to move vehicles or other goods of varying sizes in and out. Spacious, attractive and thoughtfully designed, this prefabricated metal shop building is both a prime example of the versatility of steel construction and a smart and valuable addition to the property.
