Insulated Steel Shop Building in Temecula, California
Metal Building Outlet worked closely with a buyer in Temecula, California, on the design and construction of this prefabricated steel shop building.
Metal Building Outlet delivered the finished building kit to the buyer’s erection site in January 2023 after customizing it to meet the owner’s needs. The shop has great curb appeal thanks to an Ash Gray exterior, Charcoal trim and a Polar White room, and it also features an eave extension, creating dry, covered space outside the building.
The clear-span shop has a bright, airy interior thanks to an open floorplan and (4) 4040 windows allowing natural sunlight inside. MBO also included an insulation package for installation during the erection process, which is easier and more economical than adding insulation later. The roof now holds R-13 insulation blankets, while the walls hold R-10 insulation.
Other customizations the buyer requested include gutters and downspouts, which help prevent water damage and condensation by helping water drain easily from the roof, and wind and snow loads that comply with local building codes.
