Pair of Preconstructed Steel Shops in Mammoth Lakes, California
Metal Building Outlet supplied these two prefabricated steel shop buildings for a client in Mammoth Lakes, California, in June 2024.
Rugged, multifunctional and easy to maintain, the pair of metal shop buildings have clear-span designs, allowing for flexible interior floorplans. Engineered to accommodate the precise needs of the owner, the shop buildings also meet local snow load, wind load and seismic building code requirements, enhancing safety for building users. Both structures have cost-effective single-slope roofs overhead, encouraging efficient rainwater and snow drainage while minimizing the risk of leaks.
The two steel shop buildings feature eight windows between them, allowing natural light in while improving ventilation throughout. This design consideration improves the overall functionality of the buildings, and it also improves energy efficiency by allowing sunlight to help heat the interior during colder months.
All building components for this project arrived in Mammoth Lakes already partially assembled, leading to a faster, more affordable construction process.
