Steel Building in Tacoma, Washington
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building in Tacoma, Washington, in June of 2019.
Constructed for use as a shop, the building is comprised of heavy-duty steel panels, resulting in unsurpassed strength and durability. The reliable, low-maintenance metal shop stands 50’x50’x16’ in size once raised, and it features an unobstructed clear span that eliminates interior obstructions, freeing up more usable floor space.
The roof of the metal workshop has a 2:12 roof pitch and is comprised of corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal panels, while (2) framed openings serve as additional noteworthy customizations. Included are (1) 3’4”x7’2” door opening and (1) 12’x14’ opening that provides access for oversize equipment, automobiles or machinery.
A 25-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are other customizations made out of respect for local building codes and the Tacoma area’s typical weather patterns. Located about 60 miles outside Mount Rainier National Park, the city of Tacoma is a part of Pierce County. It lies about 32 miles southwest of Seattle and about 31 miles northeast of Olympia, Washington’s capital city.
