Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel garage building for a customer in Truckee, California, in May of 2019.

Offering uncompromised strength and durability, the building is comprised of rugged, high-end steel components, and it now serves as a garage for its owner. It stands 30’x60’x12’ in size, giving the owner plenty of head room for storing or servicing cars and trucks, while a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant Burnished Slate-colored roof sits overhead, offering a 4:12 pitch.

Key metal garage features include (3) framed openings varying in size, among them (1) 12’x12’ overhead door opening, (1) 3070 walk door opening and (1) 10’x8’ opening. Additional customizations include a 110-mph wind speed rating and an extremely high, 292-pound snow load; features added given Truckee’s status as the fifth-snowiest city in the nation and the stringent building code requirements in place throughout the region.

A population haven for outdoor enthusiasts, Truckee is a part of Northern California’s Nevada County. The community lies about 17 miles outside Lake Tahoe and about 32 miles from Reno, Nevada.
