Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered metal building in Posey, California, near the end of March in 2017.

Light stone is color and made using top-of-the-line steel components, the structure now functions as a shop. It stands 36’x40’x20’ in size, and its highly durable and long-lasting Galvalume metal roof resists corrosion and has a 3:12 roof pitch. The shop building contains (1) 12’x12’ framed opening, and additional project features include a snow load of 25 lbs. and a wind speed rating of 110 mph, accommodations made in consideration of the climate patterns typical of Posey, an area that experiences a semi-arid climate and light, but occasional, snowfall.

A sparsely populated, census-designated place set within Southern California’s Tulare County, Posey covers less than a half-mile of land. Nearby communities include Exeter, which is about 53 miles away, and Visalia, which is about 64 miles away.

Attractive, functional and accommodating with a striking, rustic red exterior, the building now operates as a shop. It boasts a finished size of 40’x75’x14’, and a rugged, resilient Galvalume metal roof with a 4:12 pitch sits overhead, protecting the structure against corrosion and the elements. The shop itself is comprised of premium-quality steel materials, and it offers (3) framed openings, among them (1) 18’x12’ opening enclosing (1) 18’x12’ door and (2) 3070 openings intended for walk doors.

Overhead, a rugged Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch guards against the elements and corrosion, while a high-performance insulation package comprised of R-10 insulation adorns the building’s roof and walls, minimizing energy bills while enhancing comfort for shop users.

Distributed throughout the metal workshop, improving accessibility, are (11) framed openings ranging in size, among them (1) 3’4”x7’2” opening, (2) 14’x14’ openings, (1) 22’x14’ opening, (1) 6’4”x7’2” opening and (4) 3’x8’ openings. Spacious, multifunctional and energy efficient, this building features durable, damage-resistant steel construction and when raised, it stands an expansive 100’x288’x16’ in size. Used for miscellaneous purposes, it has a rugged, corrosion-resistant steel roof with a 1:12 pitch overhead, offering reliable protection from the elements, pests and other sources of damage. It also counts (5) 10’x12’ ridge vents among its key features, which help extend the life of the roof while improving the building’s energy efficiency.

Also making the metal shop highly energy efficient is a high-performance insulation package. The steel shop has a layer of R-29 insulation in its roof, while another layer of R-25 insulation sits within its walls. While it helps lower energy costs, the insulation package also helps with noise control and creates a more comfortable environment for shop users.

Located in northern Indiana, the city of Elkhart is part of Elkhart County. The area lies about 15 miles east of South Bend, Indiana, and about 110 miles east of Chicago, Illinois.

Spacious and versatile, it boasts high overhead clearance, making it well-suited for warehouse, manufacturing or any number of other uses, and a wide clear span that eliminates unnecessary interior obstructions.
