Pre-Engineered Shop & Garage in El Cajon, California
Metal Building Outlet sourced this preconstructed steel garage building on behalf of a customer in El Cajon, California, in late March of 2019.
Now used as a workshop and garage, the building features premium-quality steel construction, and following a streamlined erection process, it stands 20’x105’x12’ in size. Overhead, it features a hardwearing, Galvalume Plus metal roof with a 1:12 pitch, which offers a solid layer of protection from the elements while helping guard against corrosion and moisture-related damage.
Durable, versatile and low maintenance, the building requires little in terms of upkeep, and steel buildings can typically maintain their aesthetic appeal with little more than an occasional power wash. A 110-mph wind speed rating serves as a supplemental shop and garage feature; an addition made in consideration of local climate patterns and in compliance with local building codes.
Situated about 17 miles east of Downtown San Diego, the city of El Cajon is a part of San Diego County. The community sits just north of Spring Valley and just south of Santee.

Offering uncompromised strength and durability, the building is comprised of rugged, high-end steel components, and it now serves as a garage for its owner. It stands 30’x60’x12’ in size, giving the owner plenty of head room for storing or servicing cars and trucks, while a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant Burnished Slate-colored roof sits overhead, offering a 4:12 pitch.
Key metal garage features include (3) framed openings varying in size, among them (1) 12’x12’ overhead door opening, (1) 3070 walk door opening and (1) 10’x8’ opening. Additional customizations include a 110-mph wind speed rating and an extremely high, 292-pound snow load; features added given Truckee’s status as the fifth-snowiest city in the nation and the stringent building code requirements in place throughout the region.
A population haven for outdoor enthusiasts, Truckee is a part of Northern California’s Nevada County. The community lies about 17 miles outside Lake Tahoe and about 32 miles from Reno, Nevada.
