Metal Building in Tigard, Oregon
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building in Tigard, Oregon in June of 2021.
Now serving double-duty as a shop and a storage building, the insulated, energy-efficient metal building is comprised of durable, sustainable steel components and stands 30’x70’x12’ in size when raised. It features an open, clear span design that maximizes usable floor space by eliminating the need for interior columns, and overhead, it has a heavy-duty gable roof.
There are (9) framed door and window openings found throughout the shop and storage building. These allow access inside and let natural sunlight stream in.
The steel shop and storage building also has a high-performance insulation package that keeps energy expenses low and interior temperatures consistent year-round. In the roof is a 6” layer of insulation, while a 4” layer of insulation sits within the walls. The insulation in the roof and walls also has heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing adhered to the interior-facing side, resulting in a clean look while serving as a protective cover for the blankets.
Other customizations include gutters and downspouts, which help prevent condensation and water damage, a wind speed rating of 115 mph and a snow load of 20 psf. The latter two customizations keep the building compliant with the building codes in place in Tigard.
