Steel Building in Topeka, Kansas
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building and insulation in Topeka, Kansas, in January of 2015.
Featuring light stone paint and R-4” WMP-VR facing material in the roof to create an air and vapor barrier, the durable, low-maintenance building is now used as a shop area by the buyer. Constructed using top-quality components from Nucor Building Systems, the finished building stands 40’x60’x14’ in size and is covered by a Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch.
Also featured are (2) framed openings, (1) of which holds a 3070 walk door, and the other, a 12’x12’ insulated overhead door. In consideration of the Topeka area’s highly variable climate conditions and occasionally strong thunderstorm activity, a wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 14 lbs. were included at the time of construction.
The capital city of Kansas, Topeka is a part of Shawnee County, in the northeastern part of the state. It sits about 66 miles from Overland Park and 57 miles outside Manhattan.
