Steel Buildings in Tucson, Arizona
Metal Building Outlet was the proud supplier of these (2) prefabricated steel buildings in Tucson, Arizona, in July of 2019.
Economical, sustainable and energy efficient, the (2) buildings undergo use as shops and provide comfortable, multifunctional spaces to work, store goods or otherwise use. The first and larger of the steel buildings stands 30’x60’x16’ in size, while the smaller of the (2) structures stands 20’x60’x16’ when raised. The buildings’ high overhead clearance means the owners can use oversize equipment, car lifts or other features based on need, while their broad clear spans maximize interior floor space, giving the owners significant bang for their buck.
The roofs of both metal shops have 2:12 pitches and are comprised of corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal, and installed within them is a layer of R-30 insulation. The insulation helps keep interior temperatures manageable given Tucson’s sometimes-extreme summertime temperatures, and it also lowers energy expenses associated with the property.
Other customizations include (3) framed openings, among them (2) 12’x14’ overhead openings and (1) 3070 walk door opening, and several accommodations made in adherence to local building code requirements, including a 115-mph wind load and a 20-pound snow load. A part of Pima County, which covers part of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, the city of Tucson sits about 108 miles southeast of Phoenix and about 60 miles north of the United States/Mexico border.
