Metal Building in Turpin, Oklahoma

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Turpin, Oklahoma, in February of 2015.

Now an energy-efficient shop for Oklahoma’s own Abbott Construction, Inc., the large-scale metal building stands 100’x120’x20’ and is covered overhead by a corrosion-resistant galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch. Crafted from components from Nucor Building Systems, R-19 roof insulation and R-13 wall insulation were installed during construction to help minimize energy costs and keep interior temperatures comfortable year-round. Additional building features include (9) 3070 heavy-duty 20-gauge steel walk doors, (8) 14’x16’ overhead doors and (1) additional 12’x12’ overhead door.

A wind speed of 90 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs. were engineered during construction to enhance durability regardless of season.

A small, unincorporated community in Beaver County in Oklahoma’s panhandle, Turpin lies about 247 miles outside Stillwater and 103 miles from Woodward.
