Metal Building in Vass, North Carolina
Metal Building Outlet supplied this premanufactured metal building in Vass, North Carolina, in early September of 2017.
Fully insulated and designed to maximize year-round comfort, the metal building now serves as a shop, and it stands 40’x60’x14’ in size once fully erect. Its roof and walls boast R-19 insulation, which, in addition to enhancing comfort, helps muffle sound and lower energy bills associated with the property.
Overhead, the metal shop has a rugged, corrosion-resistant roof comprised of Galvalume metal and offering a 3:12 pitch, while (24) framed openings that differ in terms of size and function serve as additional features. Among them are (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 3070 walk doors, (1) 14’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 14’x14’ insulated door, (9) 3’x5’ windows, and (12) 3’x10’8” skylights that allow for ample sunshine to stream in from above.
A 100-mph wind speed rating and a 10-pound snow load serve as additional project characteristics, decisions made when considering the climate and weather patterns common in and around Vass and its outlying areas. A small, sparsely populated community in central North Carolina’s Moore County, Vass lies about 24 miles from Robbins and roughly 20 miles outside Seven Lakes.
