Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building and accompanying lean-to for a customer in Warren, Massachusetts, in April of 2021.
Insulated and highly customized to meet the owner’s unique needs, the metal building now functions as a shop for a logging operation and is 40’x80’x17’ when raised. It has high overhead clearance that allows it to easily accommodate large equipment, and it also has a broad clear span that eliminates the need for interior supports. An attached 16’x80’x16’/13’4” metal lean-to creates additional usable covered space.
Overhead, a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof provides protection from the New England elements, and (6) framed door openings in several different sizes allow easy access inside. Installed within the roof of the building is a 9.5”, R-30 Energy Saver Insulation system. The insulation lowers the shop’s power bills considerably, and it also helps prevent condensation, mildew and mold growth.
A 121-mph wind speed rating and a 35-psf snow load are additional customizations that adhere to local building codes.
