Steel Building in West Terre Haute, Indiana
Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated steel building for a customer in West Terre Haute, Indiana, in early April, 2016.
Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the durable, low-maintenance building is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components and now serves as a shop. Its roof is made of long-lasting, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 1:12 roof pitch. Inside are (4) framed openings, among them (2) 12’x14’ openings and (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 20-guage white insulated 3070 walk doors. Installed within the roof of the structure is high R-value, R-30 metal building insulation, while R-19 insulation can be found in the walls. The insulation package reduces the building’s energy bills considerably while helping keep building users comfortable regardless of temperature and seasonal changes. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs. serve as additional shop building features and were included in consideration of West Terre Haute’s variable, wet climate.
A part of Sugar Creek Township in west-central Indiana’s Vigo County, the city of West Terre Haute lies about 40 miles outside Manhattan, Indiana, and six miles from Harrison.
