Steel shop kit in Whitethorn, California

Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered metal building in Whitethorn, California, in December, 2016.

Attractive, hardwearing and low maintenance by design, the building is crafted from high-end steel components and stands 60’x40’x18’ in size once fully erect. Ash gray in color, the structure now serves as a shop, and its interior is protected overhead by a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 pitch.

Distributed throughout the metal shop building are (11) framed openings that vary broadly in terms of size and function. The structure boasts (3) 14’x13’ openings, (4) 4’x4’ openings, (2) 9’x10’ roof/ridge vents and (2) 3070 openings, each of which is equipped with one of (2) 3070 walk doors. A wind speed rating of 110 mph is included as an additional feature in consideration of the climate and weather patterns common throughout Whitethorn and the surrounding region. An unincorporated community within Northern California’s Humboldt County, Whitethorn, which formerly went by “Thorn,” is situated about 82 miles outside Eureka and 95 miles from Mendocino.
