Light grey in color, the building stands 40’x124’x14’ in size and is now used for automotive storage. Overhead is a long-lasting, hardwearing white painted metal roof with a 4:12 pitch, and inside the building, which is crafted from high-end steel components, are (24) framed openings varying in terms of size and function. Included are (18) 3050 windows, (1) 3070 opening and (5) double walk doors.
Designed with energy efficiency in mind, this metal building boasts a high-performing insulation package. Installed in the roof is high R-value, R-38 insulation, while R-19 insulation can be found within the walls. The storage building also boasts a wind speed of 100 mph and a snow load of 35 lbs., decisions that were made in consideration of Connecticut’s four distinct seasons and sometimes considerable wintertime snowfall. A part of Springfield County in north-central Connecticut, the town of Windsor Locks sits about 21 miles outside Vernon and 15 miles from Hartford.
