Prefabricated Steel Workshop Building in Hawaii
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Kamuela, Hawaii, in May of 2019.
Offering the rugged durability life in Hawaii demands, the building stands 34’x30’x12.5’ in size once erect, and it now serves as a shop. Its roof is comprised of heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 1:12 pitch, and (6) framed openings enhance accessibility for building users. Included are (1) 3070+ walk door opening, (1) 18’x10’ overhead opening, (2) 10’x10’ openings and (2) 3040 windows.
The building’s premium-quality steel construction helps it maintain its structural integrity in the face of salt, sand, moisture and other Hawaii construction hazards, while a 130-mph wind speed rating further equips it for life in the islands while meeting local building code requirements. Also known as Waimea, Kamuela is a part of Hawaii County, on the Big Island of Hawaii. The community sits about 56 miles northwest of Hilo and about 43 miles outside Kailua-Kona.
